BIS provides individualized one-on-one sessions between each student and a trained behavior therapist. During sessions, the therapist focuses on goals outlined in the child’s IEP. When behavioral challenges arise that may impact progress toward those goals, the therapist first addresses those behaviors using evidence-based teaching strategies.

This service is designed to provide support to parents with the tools and strategies needed to manage their child’s behavior and teach essential functional skills. Throughout sessions, families receive guidance on understanding their child’s unique needs and learn effective approaches to support both learning and behavior at home.

These services are delivered within the school setting to support the student’s educational team in implementing behavior-based strategies that promote progress toward behavioral and academic goals.

This assessment is used as part of the evaluation process to help diagnose individuals suspected of having autism spectrum disorder. A trained clinician assesses areas such as communication, social interaction, and imaginative play through a series of structured activities and observations.
