BEHAVIOR INTERVENTION SERVICES (BIS)

BIS consists of one-on-one sessions between the student and a trained behavior therapist. The therapist will work on goals identified through the child's IEP. If there are any behavior needs that interfere with the therapist's ability to work on those goals, therapists will first address the behavior through various teaching strategies.

BEHAVIOR CONSULTATION SERVICES

These services are provided in the school, and are in place to assist the students educational team with behavior based strategies to help the child make progress on their behavior and/or academic goals. Services are provided in the school environment.

PARENT  TRAINING

This service is designed to provide parents with the tools to manage their child's behavior and teach them functional skills. Across sessions, families are provided counseling on the nature of their child’s disability and strategies to address learning and/or behavioral issues.

AUTISM DIAGNOSTIC OBSERVATION SCHEDULE, SECOND EDITION (ADOS-2)

This is an assessment used as part of the evaluation process to diagnose individuals who are suspected to have autism spectrum disorder. Areas such as communicative skills, social skills, and imaginative use of items. materials are assessed by a trained clinician through various structured activities.
